Centreville is a city and the county seat of Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, US. It was incorporated in 1794. Every year, it hosts the Queen Anne’s County Fair. The name of this city “Centreville” came when the location of the county seat was changed from Queensland, in 1782. The Saint Paul’s Parish is also established at the place that became to be known as Centreville. Furthermore, a plantation called Chesterfield was shortlisted to become the new area for the city that would hold the county’s courthouse. After its completion, the courthouse was considered as the Court House of Queen Anne’s County on 1st of June. Finally, in1782 it was shifted to a place that is now known as Centreville.
